Q: How often should I use it?
A: It depends on your dog and their coat type. I have a Husky, so I use it more often than someone with a curly-coated Retriever or a short, fine-haired dog.
Q: Does this brush have a razor?
A: No, no razor at all. Honestly, it’s the best grooming tool I’ve ever used — absolutely amazing. I own both the large and small versions. You’d be amazed at how much shedding hair and undercoat it removes. My dogs absolutely love it. I highly recommend it, and I’ve done so many times.
Q: Does it only remove dead hair, or does it cut the hair as it goes? Will it create thin spots?
A: It can cut through debris like chiggers or seeds stuck in thick hair. I use it daily on my Golden Retriever and end up with a handful of hair each session, but it has never created any thin areas — just a silky, smooth coat.
Q: How does it work on really bad knots?
A: It works, but you have to keep combing through them. Sometimes it’s better to cut off the larger knot first and then use the brush for the smaller tangles underneath. The sharp blades help cut through hair and thin it down where needed.
Q: I have a short-haired dog. Would you recommend this brush?
A: Yes, it works well on both short-haired and long-haired dogs. It’s double‑sided, so you can choose the teeth that best suit your dog’s coat length and shedding level.
